4. Test and operating voltages

The maximum permissible working voltage depends on the national or international standards that are limited for the specific application. Factors influencing the working voltage are space distance and creepage distance. The test voltages shown in the catalogue are 75% of the average breakdown voltage. The test voltage is applied at a rate of 500 V/S for a duration of 1 minute.
